MEET EDWARD
Motivational speaker, author, scientist and servant leader.
Edward Freeman is a motivational speaker, author, scientist and servant leader. His motto is “My playing small does not serve the world, who am I not to be great?” Edward’s true passion is to spark creativity and effect positive change through his endeavors. Freeman graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a dual-degree Bachelors of Science in Biology and Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies with concentrations in Spanish language and Pre-Medicine. He is currently a Masters of Science in Biotechnology candidate at Brown University.

Edward Freeman, brings to the platform an interesting take on the importance of words and language. His personal stories and anecdotes in relation to the power of words and language make for a relatable and empowering talk. Edward is a Georgia Tech Alumni. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

Freeman uses his speeches to inspire audiences to take action in becoming the best version of themselves through self-empowerment. Additionally, he is an advocate for increasing more awareness and opportunities for students with interests in STEAM disciplines.
Edward has been a featured speaker at World Stem Cell Day, 2019 Georgia Tech MLK Student Celebration, TedXGeorgiaTech, GoldenPot Club Toronto, and Millenial Peacemaker Discussion as well as a featured content contributor for Phacilitate United Kingdom. Additionally, in the spring of 2020, Edward published his first book Standing: Stand on Who You Were Created To Be. Standing was featured in the Georgia Tech Barnes and Nobles in the student author section which led to him being named a 2021 Faces of Inclusive Excellence Honoree by Tech Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. When not studying or writing, Edward loves spending quality time with friends and family and studying other cultures through travel, service and foreign language.
